I have always been surprised by some people’s insistence to think negatively in any circumstances. Even though changing your unhappy state of mind seems utterly impossible, it be so easy you could not imagine. It’s the primary and the most important step into a successful life. I’ve prepared myself a list easy to go over, of the most important action everyone should take in order to become positive. Try to go through it regularly.
1. Educate yourself
Read motivational books in the areas you feel the need of improvement. There are an abundance of impressive and powerful books which undoubtedly will bind you to take action.
Continual self-education assists you in setting and maintaining a positive thinking and feel happier each day.
2. Learn from your past and then let it vanish
Draw conclusions from past experiences and treat it as a brilliant teacher. Put them on a paper and you’re done! Don’t get into the habit of re-taking, re-thinking, re-analyzing, re, re..as you won’t learn something new; it’s time lost which could be redirected to more constructive activities.
“Life is short as breathing!
Forget Yesterday, Focus today to enjoy tomorrow!
“The purpose of life is to live it, not destroy it.”
3. Control breath
Did you notice your breathing pattern changes along with your frame of mine? In anger your breath is quicker. If you manage controlling your breath you can redirect your energies far from moodiness. It is said that those who can control their breath have the ability to control life.
4. Live in the now!
“Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.” James Dean
Being in the present moment is about using your mind instead of mind using you. Living in the present is also called being mindful. It implies attentions and focus on the present, on your present thoughts, on your body and on the surroundings.
Mindfulness has a lot of benefits: it reduces stress, boosts immune functioning, reduces pains, lowers blood pressure, and helps patients cope with cancer.
5. Be thankful
Be positive and perceive all the great things you have and surrounds you and you will be put in touch with feelings of happiness and love. Where they exists, negative emotions cannot.
6. About death
The average life expectancy is of 70 years, translated into 840 months or 36,816,413 minutes. One day we all are going to die, but nobody knows if it’s tomorrow, now, or within 80 years. This is so empowering! How many days passed by without actually being lived? What matters now? Starting now, do the things you love and fulfill you with happiness rather than those which drains you. Open your mine and tell people you love them. Contact your old friends and see what’s up! Replace the “why?” with “why not?”
“You have exactly one life in which to do everything you’ll ever do. Act accordingly.” – Colin Wright
Your mind and thought are incredibly powerful. You can imagine and visualize the greatest things in the world, your most inconceivable dreams. Your actions are guided by your thoughts. Visualize as a regular exercise and you’ll see dreams coming true. There are brilliant examples such as Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith and Arnold Schwarzenegger used the power of visualization to attract their dreams into reality.
Meditation translates into connecting mind, body and soul. Practicing it expands awareness within the individual and help you in releasing negative emotions that are holding you back.
Michael Jordan once said: “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
